The New York Style Plexifilm DVD Cases

With the rise of graphic design awareness within contemporary culture, there is a greater interest amongst the
mass populace for education concerning the field at large. With the massive success of both Helvetica and
Objectified, documentarian Gary Hustwit has revealed a growing demand for documentary films rooted in the
arts, and specifically, graphic design. Plexifilm has filled this demand with a roster of offbeat films concerning a
variety of artistic media including graphic design, music, and art.
 
Opportunity: The designer will create a series of DVD’s for Plexifilm. A total of four DVD packages will be created, including
liner notes and background information to be included in the inner panel/booklet for each individual DVD.
 
Solution: The designer created cases for the New York Style designers: Matthew Leibowitz, Paul Rand, Reid Miles, and Alvin Lustig
